Q:  What choice of swimming pool do I have?
A:  We offer a wide range of Double Bubble Swimming Pools Sizes and a possibly the widest range of liners.  Please see our range of sizes. (Link to PDF File).

Q:  How will I benefit from buying a CHRISTAL liner pool?
A:  A liner will last for many years and because of CHRISTAL POOLS Double-Bubble shape, much longer than any rectangular pool.  Even after 45 years in business, our replacement market is quite small.  If damaged in service, a liner can readily be repaired under water.

Q:  Whose pool is best?
A:  We KNOW our pools are the least expensive, we are SURE our pools are the best value and are CERTAIN they are the easiest to install.

Q:  Can I get one in my garden?
A:  CHRISTAL POOLS’ size spread is the largest on the market and honestly, if our smallest pool won’t fit in, we would not advise you to buy anything smaller, as this would be totally impractical.

Q:  What is involved?
A:  Not very much.  The whole concept of CHRISTAL pools is surprisingly easy!  We know because we’ve been supplying DIY swimming pool kits for longer than anyone else in Europe and if you don’t fancy doing it yourself, the ease of assembly means low cost, professional installation. 

Q:  What is the appearance like?
A:  Most people who have seen a Double-Bubble pool, love the shape.  The Double-Bubble shape is a naturally attractive form.

Q:  How long will a CHRISTAL POOL kit last?
A:  We don’t know! We are only in our 45th  year.

Q:   Can I install it myself?
A:  Yes you can.  It’s easy and lots of people save money by doing so.

Q:  How long will it take?
A:  Our record customer installation time is 2 days, from ‘kit delivery’ to ‘hose pipe on’.

Q:  How much will it cost?
A:  The price of the pool kit delivered, plus sand and cement for the base of the pool, the cost of the dig if by machine plus whatever you wish to spend on landscaping and final finishing.

Q:  Is it safe for the children?
A:  As safe or safer than any other swimming pool on the market.

Q:  What about heating?
A:  If you want to heat a CHRISTAL POOL, easily, in a multitude of ways and heating is an easy retrofit.

Q:  The location of my garden and the ground appear to be most unfavourable.  Can I install a pool?
A:  We haven’t yet found ground conditions unsuitable for a CHRISTAL Double-Bubble pool.  Maybe a CHRISTAL pool is the only one you CAN have!

Q:  Do I need planning permission?
A:  No.  The law has ruled that anyone can install a swimming pool in their back garden in the UK.  In France, dependent upon location, but usually no problem.

Q:  Will it increase the value of my home?
A:  Any pool will increase the value, but because CHRISTAL pools are so inexpensive, they are probably the only ones that will increase the value by more than the cost of the pool itself and if you are renting out your property in France, you can’t afford not to have a pool.

Q:  Are rates payable?
A:  An arguable ‘yes’.  A CHRISTAL POOL is fully portable; therefore it cannot necessarily be construed as a permanent fixture.  On a CHRISTAL POOL installed above ground – certainly not!

Q:  Should I have an outdoor or indoor pool?
A:  Outdoor pools are more fun, especially when the sun shines, but if you want to extend your swimming season, an inflatable pool cover is extremely cost effective and we can supply one.

Q:  What about pool size and shape?
A:  CHRISTAL POOLS will make a domestic pool in Double-Bubble configuration to any sensible size and the shape is the most practical and attractive available.

Q:  Do I need to winterise a swimming pool?
A:  Normally yes, but not a CHRISTAL POOL.

Q:  What are the running costs?
A:  The running costs of a CHRISTAL POOL are significantly lower than those of any other pool.  CHRISTAL filters are so efficient that they minimise the requirement for pool chemicals.

Q:  If I decide to have a swimming pool, with whom should I deal?
A:  Why not deal with the oldest established manufacturer of pre-fabricated liner pools in Europe – us!

Q:  How long will delivery take?
A:  Most of our products are available ‘off the shelf’.

Q: Can I readily obtain spare parts if necessary?
A:  Yes, and here you benefit from years of standardisation.
